As a followup to the previous post, I am going to do a proper review of the Zinger Mozzarella Burger this time.
When I looked at the advertisement for the Zinger Mozzarella Burger, all I could think of is how good that shit looked. A fast food burger could never look this good in real life. It’s not even possible? How is KFC even gonna make any money if all their burgers looked that good?
This thing, is honestly the most accurate advertisement-reality food for fast food I have ever seen. That majestic looking burger is just standing tall and firm, waiting to ooze out it’s mozzarella like it did in the advertisement.
Sauce isn’t oozing out of the burger like in the ads, but this is not a problem as the sauce has a very strong sweet flavour. I think it would definitely taste worse from the overpowering sweetness if it is accurate to the ad.
I got my turkey bacon and am happy about it.
And loads of lettuce.
The gourmet chef inside me is telling me to run away from this monstrosity of a meal, full of unhealthy, oily, messy stuff. Absolutely no balance in terms of nutrition, the flavours don’t hide anything and just punch you into the gut ready to send you to the emergency room if you don’t already need to visit the cardiologist after eating this burger.
The Fat boi. The Fat boi doesn’t lie. This burger is the dreams of Fat bois around the world, bringing together pizza and burger. Shieet, you can eat burgers, you can eat pizzas, but who knew that you can eat them both in the same bite?? Let me briefly explain the texture of this burger, from the top to bottom. Your brain can’t process the goodness of what your mouth is feeling.
The flavours. It tastes like the most unhealthy thing you are ever going to eat. There is everything except bitterness. Sweet? I gotchu fam with my tomato sauce. Salty? It’s in everything except the lettuce. Spicy? Zinger’s got yo back. Sour? Tomato. Umami? Mozzarella and probably added MSG in there. Your doctor’s not going to like this, but hopefully once he tastes this he will stop giving you health advice.
My complain is that the burger is too tall to properly bite in one mouth. Yes, I am complaining that the burger is too big. If you try to squeeze it into a mouth size the chicken or mozzarella oozes out to the side, making you miss the perfect bite.
Rating for KFC Zinger Mozzarella Burger:
It’s one of the most unhealthy burgers you will eat, but you know what you want. The Colonel is ready to welcome you anytime. Just be ready to feel ashamed and dirty about yourself after eating at the restaurant.
I rate food based on how far I am willing to travel, as well as whether I think the price I paid for it justifies it. You can read more about why here.
I am willing to walk more than quite a distance for this. Hell, it might not even be optional unless I want to die of heart attack or something.
I got more than what I expected for the meal. No catfishing, true to advertisement food? $8.80 for the meal or $7.20 ala carte for a fat boi’s dream come true? I’ll take that any time of the day. I went to KFC to get an unhealthy meal, but instead I ended up in the hospital. 10/10.
And to this, I hereby give this a satisfied fat boi badge. The badge means nothing really I just felt like making it. Think of it as the Michelin stars for the fat boi blog if I decide to continue to use it.
Oh, and as a side note, eating the spicy potato bites fresh instead of takeaway didn’t make it much crispier.
But I’m just a fat boi… What do other people think?
For Singapore’s Zinger Mozzarella burger…
Goodyfeed gives it 6/5. Heavenly combination of flavours. KFC has done it.
hungrygowhere’s Cherie Foo Disappointed in Mozzarella + Jalapeno (eh, I didn’t even know it’s Mozzarella + Jalapeno Cheese) patty. Would gladly pay for the burger, but not the sides. Would even buy frozen packs for Netflix binging purposes.
mitsueki Burger too big. Fantastic cheese crust, but didn’t like the cheese. Removed the cheese (blasphemy!). You should try the burger.
I decided to also read about Australia’s Zinger Mozzarella because why not. Apparently Australia’s Zinger Mozzarella seems to be different and maybe inferior to Singapore’s version from my research.
- The tomato sauce is clearly different.
- Bacon in Australia’s version is not crispy, compared to Singapore’s crispy turkey bacon.
- Addition of mayo in Australia’s.
- Mozzarella not stringy, and seems to have a different batter or frying method from the colours.
For Australia’s Zinger Mozzarella…
Greg’s Kitchen Doesn’t like the tomato sauce. Likes the mozzarella, but can’t taste the mozzarella and bacon in one whole bite because of the zinger taste. Mozzarella clearly not stringy in this review, but no complains from him. 8/10
Thats Noice thinks it’s a nice addition, but it falls short of his expectations. But eh, you might like it. Mozzarella not stringy.
DAW TV thinks it’s too salty and let down by the mozzarella patty. Mozzarella not stringy. 7/10
Something must not be right. But there are picture evidence as well as video evidence showing that the mozzarella patty can be stringy. I’m assuming Malaysia’s mozzarella patty would be similar to Singapore’s, since Greg’s Kitchen’s KFC Cheezilla Burger (Malaysia) review showed that the mozzarella is stringy! KFC Australia’s cheese department got something to answer for…
